Increasing the supply of European Public Goods: why, what and how

Marco Buti, the Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa Chair on economic and monetary integration at the European University Institute, will give a presentation on European Public Goods as the new frontier of integration. He will also talk about "The European Union at the time of the New Cold War: A Manifesto" which he signed and promoted.

Mr Buti will argue that in today’s increasingly interconnected and vulnerable world, there is an objective need for more “European Public Goods (EPGs)”, a form of central fiscal capacity to develop cross-border projects in strategic sectors with an EU added value (energy and digital infrastructure, R&D, defence etc).

This event is part of the European Governance Colloquium as well as the CIVICA Europe Revisited Seminar Series. The Jacques Delors Centre's Co-Director Johannes Lindner will introduce the event.
