A commemoration video of the achievements of Jacques Delors by the European Commission.
Jacques Delors was a passionate supporter of post-war European integration and played a key role in shaping the European Union as we know it today. He served as President of the European Commission for three terms, from January 1985 until the end of 1994. During his tenure, he was deeply committed to promoting freedom, social justice, and solidarity - values that are now firmly embedded in our Union.
During his term as President of the European Commission, Jacques Delors played a key role in advancing the European Union project. He achieved several significant accomplishments, including the establishment of the single market, the Erasmus program, the Maastricht Treaty, and the Economic and Monetary Union.
It has been three months since his passing on December 27, 2023. The European Commission created a video in commemoration of the achievements of Monsieur Delors, which is a great tribute to Monsieur le President.
