Katharina Walch is a PhD candidate in the Hertie School’s Doctoral Programme in Governance and a research associate at the Jacques Delors Centre. Her research focuses on European integration, enlargement, and governance in Southeast Europe. She holds an Advanced Master’s in European Transformation and Integration from the College of Europe in Tirana and a Double Master’s in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Freiburg and Sciences Po Aix-en-Provence. Katharina has worked in a range of policy and research settings, including the Jacques Delors Centre, the University of Freiburg, and the Federal Foreign Office.
