Dr. Maria Patrin is Marie Curie Fellow at the Jacques Delors Centre. She was previously a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Florence and Research Associate at the EUI, where she also obtained her PhD. She holds degrees in political science and philosophy from the College of Europe and La Sapienza University in Rome. Prior to her academic career Maria worked several years in private practice in Brussels.
Maria’s main research interest lies with EU institutional law, EU governance and European integration. She is the author of “Collegiality in the European Commission. Legal Substance and Institutional Practice” (OUP 2024) and she has published in leading scientific journals. At the Jacques Delors Centre, she will work on her Marie Curie project “Residual executive power (REXPO). EU institutional balance and regulatory patterns after the Covid19 crisis”, exploring the shifts in the post-pandemic EU governance.
