Adina Maricut-Akbik is Affiliate Research Fellow on the LEVIATHAN project at the Hertie School. Her research focuses on the accountability of executive actors (the European Central Bank, the European Council, the Council and the European Commission) in EU economic governance since the crisis. Her other research interests include institutional behaviour in the EU area of justice and home affairs and higher education reforms in post-communist contexts. Prior to joining Hertie, she worked as Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at Bard College Berlin and Visiting Researcher at the Central European University in Budapest. She holds degrees from the Universities of Bucharest and York as well as a PhD in Political Science from the Central European University in Budapest. She is responsible for Work Package 1.
