Romy Hansum is a PhD candidate at Hertie School’s Jacques Delors Centre. Her doctoral research explores the political distribution of EU funds across regions and thematic priorities. Her research is supported by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation. Romy’s research interests include EU social and economic policies as well as national welfare systems. She holds a Bachelor of Politics and Public Administration from University of Konstanz and a Master of Political Science and European Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and Freie Universität Berlin. Prior to joining the Hertie School, Romy worked as a policy officer for the Ministry of Social Affairs Baden-Württemberg.
