Leo Brandt is a research associate and PhD candidate at the Hertie School’s Jacques Delors Centre, working on the DFG-funded project “Populism and the Constitutional Re-Configuration of Europe” led by Prof. Mark Dawson within the Research Unit “Reconfiguring Europe. Between competence and control.” Leo holds degrees in Political Science and European Affairs from Freie Universität Berlin, Sciences Po Paris and the College of Europe. He gained work experience at the Federal Foreign Office, the Bundestag and the European Parliament. Prior to joining the JDC, Leo worked as an Academic Assistant at the College of Europe.
