Kris Best is a Research Associate to the President. Furthermore, she is an Affiliate Policy Fellow at the Jacques Delors Centre. Her research focuses on European economic integration, fiscal policy and financial regulation. Kris currently works as Research Associate to the President at the Hertie School, where she received her Master of Public Policy (MPP) in 2018. Previously, she spent three years as a consultant in EU policy evaluation at Civic Consulting, working primarily on European Commission and Horizon2020 projects. She has also worked in fiscal and financial regulation policy at the Government of Canada and the British Columbia Ministry of Finance. In addition to her MPP, Kris holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Victoria (Canada) and a Certificate in Social Sciences and Humanities from Sciences Po Paris (France).
