After every cyber-attack there have increasingly been calls for more security and political interference on the national or even European level. However, the debate neglects at times the nature of the different attacks and the different levels on which these attacks should be dealt with to contain the problem. In this policy brief, Paul-Jasper Dittrich gives an overview of cyber security in the European Union.
