Following tough negotiations, the EU-Commission and the US have finally announced asuccessor to the “Safe Harbor-Agreement”, which will be called “Privacy Shield”. In his blog post,Paul-Jasper Dittrich explains the background of this agreement and argues that the EU shouldprovide legal certainty for companies concerning data protection as soon as possible and at thesame time should not lose sight of innovation.
