How about a short input on EU affairs, coffee and a croissant before you start your working day?

On 23 February 2023, our experts will zoom in on the European response to the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which provides tax money on a grand scale for green technologies in the USA, partially putting European companies at a disadvantage. To avoid falling behind in international competition, Brussels is trying to secure Europe's competitiveness in green technology with the new Green Deal Industrial Plan.

Our Deputy Director Dr. Nils Redeker and Policy Fellow Philipp Jäger will explain in which areas the IRA poses a challenge and how the EU must react.

The EU to go format goes as follow: Five slides introduction to the topic and five slides positions and proposals on the focus topic. This will be followed by ten minutes of discussion. At 9 am the event is over after only 30 minutes.

8:30 Introduction to the focus topic
8:40 Positions and proposals on the focus topic
8:50 Question and answer
9:00 Off to the office

This EU to go will only occur in presence at the Q-Club (Friedrichstraße 181).

You can find the slides in German here.
