At the Jacques Delors Centre, academic research goes hand in hand with the development of concrete ideas for future-oriented EU policies. But what does the daily work of the Jacques Delors Centre look like and what role does the Centre play within the wider Hertie School Community? On 10 September from 4:00-5:00pm, our team will present their work in Room 3.32 (Hertie School).
The event will begin with an introduction of the Jacques Delors Centre itself and our two working arms: Research and Policy. Our two co-directors, Prof Mark Dawson and Dr Johannes Lindner, will give an insight into daily life at the Centre and what work on EU governance looks like. This will be followed by a presentation of the EU mentoring programme after a successful pilot year. Interested students will learn how they can sign up to be paired up with a Hertie alumni with experience in Brussels. Finally, members of the futurEU student club will present an exciting agenda for the academic year ahead.
The event will be concluded with some light catering and refreshments, where students will have the chance to mingle with JDC faculty and fellows and discuss all things EU.
