New York Times - Germany: Europe makes the front page

An article from Henrik Enderlein in the New York Times 

On January 7, Angela Merkel (CDU), Martin Schulz (SPD) and Horst Seehofer (CSU) declared the successfull completion of their coalition negotiations. The European Union has found a prominent role in the agreement. “It’s the first time that Europe is the first chapter in a German coalition treaty,” Henrik Enderlein, director of the Jacques Delors Institut – Berlin, explains in the New York Times.  “On the open-to-closed spectrum, this was a signal for openness”.
