The Professor of European and Global Governance is acknowledged by the newspaper Der Tagesspiegel for leading the project “Reconfiguring Europe”.

Congratulations! The Professor of European and Global Governance, Markus Jachtenfuchs, at the Jacques Delors Centre has been named among Berlin’s 100 most important thinkers in 2025 in the category “Philosophy and Science” by the newspaper Der Tagesspiegel.

Every year, Der Tagesspiegel recognises 100 top personalities in the German capital for their contributions to the future of science or civic engagement. According to the newspaper, these thinkers pave the way for tomorrow's innovations.

Professor Jachtenfuchs' work exemplifies this spirit. As spokesperson for the research initiative "Reconfiguring Europe", he and his team of political scientists and legal scholars are examining how the European Union is governed and where the challenges lie. During a time of growing tensions and clashes among EU member states, this project stands out as one of the most significant European research initiatives today.
