On 15 June 2022, the first Henrik Enderlein Prize was awarded to two outstanding young scientists in Paris. The winners are Harvard professor Stefanie Stantcheva, 36, and associate professor at the University of Oxford Tarik Abou-Chadi, 37.
Both represent Henrik Enderlein's legacy by combining social commitment with their scientific research, according to the jury, which selected from 36 applications. Prize winner Abou-Chadi described Henrik Enderlein as his role model: "Henrik stood for building a bridge between politics and academic research," he is quoted as saying by Handelsblatt.
