Henrik Enderlein call for a joint reform of the European Monetary Union in FAZ
After the German election, a group of French and German economists, among them Prof. Henrik Enderlein, Director of the Jacques Delors Institut – Berlin, called for a joint reform of the European Monetary Union (EMU). According to the authors, the euro area is still suffering from inherent instability. In order to address the central weaknesses, the French and German government should join forces in strengthening the common currency regime by focusing on both more market discipline and risk sharing.
