In a four-piece series of op-eds ahead of the German Federal Election, researchers of the Jacques Delors Institut – Berlin and the Bertelsmann Stiftung presented key issues of European politics that the next German government will have to face. The contributions are based on the publication series “Europa Briefing” and cover the following areas: Low interest rates in the euro area, completion of the European Banking Union, the EU budgetary process, and economic governance in the euro area.
