Catherine de Vries is a professor of Politics in the department of social and political sciences at Bocconi University in Milan. She is also an affiliated Professor of Political Behaviour in Europe. She previously held a professorship at Oxford University and was a visiting scholar at the European University Institute. She has published a book on Euroscepticism (Oxford University Press,. 2018) and numerous articles on topics spanning the fields of political behaviour, comparative European politics and political economy in journals including the American Political Science Review and Annual Review of Political Science. She also regularly provide commentary in popular outlets, such as the Dutch Het Financieele Dagblad among others. Since 2015, she serve as the scientific advisor for eupinions, an independent platform for European public opinion, funded by the Bertelsmann Foundation.
