Aart De Geus has been chairman of the Goldschmeding Foundation since January 2020, specialising in social policy issues. From September 2011 to December 2019, he served as chairman of the Bertelsmann Stiftung Executive Board in Gütersloh, Germany, overseeing projects on the future of democracy, sustainable business, employment and megatrends. Prior to joining the Stiftung, Aart De Geus served as Deputy Secretary General of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris. From 2002 to 2007, Aart De Geus was Minister of Social Affairs and Employment in the Netherlands.
