Tomasz P. Woźniakowski is a Postdoctoral Researcher for LEVIATHAN, an ERC-funded project at the Hertie School. His research focuses on the budgetary powers of national parliaments in the EU fiscal governance as well as US and EU fiscal unions in a comparative historical perspective. In 2015, Woźniakowski was awarded the Fulbright-Schuman Fellowship and the College of Europe – Arenberg European Prize for an article, which was recently published in the Journal of European Public Policy. He holds degrees in political science and history from the University of Wroclaw as well as a PhD from the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence. Woźniakowski also studied at the universities of Bern, Fribourg, Dundee and North Carolina. During his doctoral studies at the EUI he was a visiting fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, the Jean Monnet Foundation for Europe in Lausanne and LMU Munich, where he taught a course on European Governance. He is responsible for Work Package 3.
